Albano Daminato is an interior architect and designer.
Since completing his studies in ‘Human Environments’ design, along with a brief stint in stage design at The National Institute of Dramatic Arts, in Sydney, Albano has worked with some of the most prestigious design and architectural studios in Australia and Asia. His work has ranged from domestic, commercial and corporate through to retail and hospitality.
In 2001 he established his own consultancy studio to undertake individual design commissions.
Whilst his rigorous architectural approach to space planning, form making and detailing is evident in all of his work, he also believes in a constant exploration of his design language and a varied use of materials, colour palettes and concepts that are specific to each new project and its physical context.
His recent works have primarily involved design for small scale hotel projects, private residences, retail stores, restaurants, bars and cafes. Similarly, his design covers all aspects of a project, from overall concepts through to design of furniture and objects.
